Getting set for the Way ahead

Updated: Aug 2, 2021

Hello there,

Hope everyone is enjoying their summers?

Will and myself are currently packing our rucksacks in preparation for tackling the Pennine Way. We set off on Monday and hope to complete the 435km trek by the 18th of August. Our dad, James is also joining us to ensure we don't get too lost.

We are hoping to raise £3000 to support our local neighbourhood charity FISH that does wonderful work fighting loneliness within the elderly community in Barnes.

We will be posting regular updates as we progress on our journey. We are praying for sunny weather but the forecast isn't looking that kind right now. Nevertheless we will endeavour to keep smiling. We have selected some audio books and we will be taking a pack of cards to keep spirits up.

Do please subscribe to our blog (or unsubscribe if you would rather not hear from us) and if you would like to sponsor us please click the button below.

We will be back in Barnes towards the end of August ready to clean patios, trim hedges, wash cars and mow lawns.

Best wishes,

Ned and Will Battersby
