Our Nordmann Firs
Nordmann firs are distinguishable in appearance, due to the fact it has a symmetrical shape and glossy dark green needles. Their soft foliage also makes it child and pet friendly. The tree also smells nice as it has a natural scent.
Furthermore, the Nordmann Fir is known to have second-to-none needle retention. In other words you don't have to worry about needles on top of your Christmas presents and under your Christmas tree if you look after the tree. Thats why if you scroll down you can find out about how to get the most out of your Christmas tree this year.
Just before we give you your Christmas tree, we will saw off the bottom 1” (3cm) of the trunk for £5. This creates a fresh cut and opens up the pores in the bark, which otherwise can block up with sap within a few hours of being cut. The real tree is then able to drink water through these pores via capillary action.
Hydrate your tree
It is very important to keep the tree hydrated otherwise it won't last as long and the pines will fall sooner, nobody wants that.
So put the tree in a container full of water right away. You don't need to add any comically made mixes to it. Once the tree is in water keep toping it up every couple of days so it doesn't run out.
Avoid heat sources
Never place your tree near heat sources such as a fireplace, electric heaters and air conditioners. The tree could catch on fire or the tree could become extremely dry even if the tree has got plenty of water. This will then mean lots of needles fall off and the tree doesn't last as long. This also included spaces that tend to get lots of direct sunlight and heat up easily.
A Nordmann fir tree is the most popular type of live Christmas tree in Britain because of its aesthetic appearance and nice fragrance.Secondly, when you bring your Nordmann fir indoors make sure to place it in a water container and keep it away from heat sources.
